“Without a doubt, Netball is one of the fastest and most dynamic team sports and until the last few years has been one of the best kept secrets in America.  How great to have a high profile event such as the U.S. Open Netball Championships™.  It is a great opportunity for athletes to showcase their talent and athletic prowess and test their team strategies.  Netball teaches great skills – hand-eye coordination, agility, balance, space awareness and speed plus players learn the importance of teamwork and staying fit and healthy.  I’m very excited to be a part of this event and help spread the word about one of the best kept secrets in the sporting world – Netball!”
—Vicki Wilson, OAM.  Former Australian Netball Captain (104 Test Caps); Former Assistant Coach New Zealand Silver Ferns; and Current Coach of Fiji Netball.

Karen Stocks, Managing Director, Twitter Australia –

“One of my biggest passions is netball and I started playing when I was just seven.  It’s exciting to see the USA not only playing netball but hosting an elite netball event.  Having the Americans on board is a key part for the global growth of the game, and it’s great that well-developed netball nations can help make this happen.  So I congratulate all the nations and sponsors who are supporting this event and also encourage American corporations to get behind this event as part of their social responsibility programs, and to connect with the international netball community of over 20 million participants.  Show your support in enhancing lives of girls and women around the world.”
